InkSoul
The Story
wanted and still walked out with something that didn't quite feel like me. The problem
wasn't the artist. It was me: I knew what I felt, but I couldn't translate that into
visual language.
Most people arrive at a tattoo studio the same way — with a vague feeling and no visual
vocabulary. Existing AI tattoo tools make this worse: they ask "describe your tattoo"
and return something that looks like stock art. No context, no story, no soul.
So I built InkSoul. It's a 3-stage conversational flow: you describe the memory or
feeling behind the tattoo, answer a few tuning questions, then get HD design variants to
react to. By the time you see the designs, the AI already knows your story — so the
output reflects you, not just a prompt.
I built it solo and launched on Product Hunt in July 2026. Still early, but users who go
through the full flow consistently say "that's actually what I meant" — which is the
whole point. Free to try at inksoul.app.
AI Overview
AI-generatedWhat sets InkSoul apart is its emotion-first AI approach, which doesn't just generate random images based on user prompts. Instead, it extracts the essence of the user's story and incorporates meaningful symbolism into every design. The three-stage conversational flow allows users to describe their memories or feelings, refine their design preferences through optional poetic questions, and then choose from high-definition design variants.
Key features of the platform include its ability to generate three distinct concept directions in under five seconds, four signature styles rendered at 2048×2048 resolution, and a unique Soul Certificate that verifies the one-of-a-kind nature of each design. Users can also browse curated tattoo idea galleries with interactive mini-generators to spark their creativity.
New users are offered two free credits to experience the full design quality before committing to a purchase. The platform explicitly states that designs are AI-generated for inspiration only and advises users to consult a licensed tattoo artist before getting inked. Overall, InkSoul offers a innovative solution for individuals seeking a personalized and meaningful tattoo experience, and its unique approach to AI-driven design generation makes it a compelling option for those looking to transform their emotions into art.

Hey! I'm Hector, the solo dev behind InkSoul. Built this after my own frustrating tattoo experience — I knew what I *felt* but couldn't explain it to the artist. Ended up with something that didn't quite feel like mine. InkSoul solves the translation layer: instead of asking "describe your tattoo," it asks about the memory or feeling behind it first. The 3-stage flow takes about 5 minutes and most users say the output actually reflects what they meant — not just what they typed. Free to try (2 credits, no card required). Would love any feedback from this community on the onboarding flow — does Stage 2 feel too long? → inksoul.app
